Pastor Messick has been on the staff since 1983 and has served as senior pastor since 1996.  After growing up in Sharon Hill, he moved to Collingdale in 1985 when he married his wife Debbie. They have two sons, Christopher and Brian. Pastor Messick is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and Bethel Seminary of the East. One of the goals of his ministry is to impact our diverse community with the life-changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Corbin Hyman is a man who is after God’s heart. He was greatly influenced by his mother who was a passionate woman of God. In his early twenties he surrendered his life to God, and Jesus became his Lord and Savior. He married his high school sweetheart, Mashon Hyman, and they have been married for 31 years. Together they have 3 lovely children and have guided them in the truth of God's Word. Corbin accepted the call on his life as God was using him and building him. He has a great passion for learning God’s Word which led him to attend the Center for Urban Theological Studies and the Leadership And Mentoring Program. He has a great desire for understanding God’s Word, building people, and sincerely seeing Christians grow in the Lord. 

Elizabeth has attended First Baptist of Collingdale since childhood.  She grew up in the church, attending children's programs, and youth group.  After graduating from college, Elizabeth became a high school teacher.  She serves as the co-director of our Youth Ministry Team.  Elizabeth is also a member of the church praise team.  She has a heart for teenagers and a vision to see them reach their full potential. 

Chris and his family came to the church when he was in elementary school.  He was later a part of the church youth group and after college, he became a middle school teacher.  Chris currently serves as a co-director of the Youth Ministry Team and is an elder on the church leadership team.  He is really good at asking questions to get teens to think and has the ability to provide guidance as they seek answers. 

Elyssa joined staff in January 2019, however she is no stranger to the church.  Elyssa and her husband, Keith, met as young children in the church and were later married in 2012.  They have four children: Matthew, Emma, Naomi, and Judah.  Elyssa graduated from New Tribes Bible Institute in Jackson, MI.  She currently leads the music ministry in a variety of ways, engaging children and adults in musical acts of worship.  Elyssa has a passion for music and a heart for leading the congregation in corporate worship.
