Meet The Staff

Corbin Hyman is a man who is after God’s heart. He was greatly influenced by his mother who was a passionate woman of God. In his early twenties he surrendered his life to God, and Jesus became his Lord and Savior. He married his high school sweetheart, Mashon Hyman, and they have been married for 31 years. Together they have 3 lovely children and have guided them in the truth of God's Word. Corbin accepted the call on his life as God was using him and building him. He has a great passion for learning God’s Word which led him to attend the Center for Urban Theological Studies and the Leadership And Mentoring Program. He has a great desire for understanding God’s Word, building people, and sincerely seeing Christians grow in the Lord. 

When he is not serving in the church, he loves to fly drones and attend food festivals.  His favorite things include his wife, kids, and seafood! 

Elizabeth has attended First Baptist of Collingdale since childhood.  She grew up in the church, attending children's programs, and youth group.  After graduating from college, Elizabeth became a high school teacher.  She serves as the co-director of our Youth Ministry Team with her husband, Chris.  Elizabeth is also a member of the church praise team.  She has a heart for teenagers and a vision to see them reach their full potential. 

In her spare time, Elizabeth likes to play board games, take walks, shop with her sister, and watch Phillies games.  Her favorite things include musical theater, mashed potatoes and upcycling! 

Chris and his family came to the church when he was in elementary school.  He was later a part of the church youth group and after college, he became a middle school teacher.  Chris currently serves as a co-director of the Youth Ministry Team with his wife, Elizabeth, and is an elder on the church leadership team.  He is really good at asking questions to get teens to think and has the ability to provide guidance as they seek answers. 

When Chris isn't at church, he is an avid board game player, loves Philadelphia sports teams, and enjoys spending time with his new bride, Elizabeth.  They love going to the pool, Longwood Gardens, and running Youth Group together.  

Elyssa joined staff in January 2019, however she is no stranger to the church.  Elyssa and her husband, Keith, met as young children in the church and were later married in 2012.  They have four children: Matthew, Emma, Naomi, and Judah.  Elyssa graduated from New Tribes Bible Institute in Jackson, MI.  She currently leads the music ministry in a variety of ways, engaging children and adults in musical acts of worship.  Elyssa has a passion for music and a heart for leading the congregation in corporate worship. 

When she is not serving in the church, Elyssa loves gardening, hanging out with people, and reading a good thriller.  Her favorite things include her hubby, her kids, seafood, Mexican food, and talking about God's Word with people!  

Barbara serves as our church bookkeeper, and has for many years.  Her gifts are especially helpful in keeping our church finances in proper order, and her presence is valuable in the office.  

When she is not serving in the church, Barbara loves Philadelphia sports teams, crocheting, traveling with her husband, and her family. 

Keith serves as our Maintenance Supervisor and Groundskeeper.  Keith has a love for projects and construction.  Keith and his wife, Elyssa, enjoy serving the church in a variety of ways, and he has grown to love teaching the Word.  They have four children, who keep them busy. 

When Keith is not serving in the church, he loves trips with the family, hunting, fishing, and spending time with people on his front porch.
